Time of watch and sharing an Christmas wafer.
The Christmas Eve for people attending meetings organised by Consulting-Information Point for people addicted to alcohol and their families as well as for the other residents, who are in difficult family situation was organized by the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala. On 19th December at 12 o’clock over 30 people sat down at the tables laden with food. This year invited guests attended the meeting with us, among them Mr Sławomir Stanik, Voyt of the Kowala Community, Łucja Byzdra, head of the Communal Commission for Solving Alcoholic Problems and Elżbieta Kiraga, head of the Senior Club in Kowala. We could host on the Eve lonely, sick and worried people for the third time. We had also time for hearing the word of God, sharing an Christmas wafer and wishes. Then we ate delicious Christmas meals and told. At the end of the Eve every guest received a small gift. Social workers meet the residents of our community all the year round, because they were in need, many of them are lonely or living in families, which forgot about love, they are sick and worried. We were with them for helping them, but often we obtained from them smile, acknowledgement, thankfulness, nice words. Christmas is time to see the Holy Family as a model of interpersonal relations, mother carries about her child, father carries about family’s safety, child collects love of mother and father and thanks for that grows up and is happy.
In that special time of Christmas all people present at the table received warm wishes of close hands’ warm, fruits of care, joy of sharing bread and time as well as perseverance in building our family`s happiness and changing our hearts by Christmas.
