European Voluntary
In July 2013 years the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala has requested that the National Agency of the ‘Youth in Action’ in Warsaw for the status of accredited EVS organizations. The application of our concern the activities under Action 2 - European Voluntary Service.
After the visit Accredited EVS organizations – the Local Social Welfare Centre in Kowala received accreditation host organization, the Sending and Coordinating EVS.
European Voluntary Service (EVS - European Voluntary Service) operating in Poland since 2000, this action, which is part of the European Youth in Action Programme 2007-2013. This program directs the Commission to allow young volunteers (aged 18-30 years), international contacts and implement their own projects. The aim of the Action is to develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in particular with a view to strengthening social cohesion in the European Union. Taking part in the program, you can gain valuable skills and raise the level of knowledge of a foreign language.
For the implementation of the Programme in different countries of the European Union is responsible National Agency. The program can go abroad even for 12 months and to participate, individually or collectively, in the activities of non-profit and non-profit, which cover many areas: ecology, culture, social welfare, etc.
Organizers of the campaign volunteers provide food, accommodation, personal care, insurance, small allowance and travel expenses shall be reimbursed
An important subject of the EVS is that volunteer work cannot be replacing someone's regular job, nor can anyone bring a profit.
